Happy New Year. This month's newsletter is a little late because we spent the first week of the year reflecting on 2009 and setting our sights on a successful 2010. We want to keep doing what we're doing....only better. Three goals that we identified are:

Goal 1: Effectively promote the message that reading & learning should be fun.
Goal 2: Introduce tweens/teens along the East Coast to the benefits of juggling & skill toys.
Goal 3: Provide adults with the opportunity to play through professional development programs.

We look forward to using this monthly newsletter to keep you up-to-date on how we are taking action to achieve these goals and to provide resources for you, our partners. Please feel free to contact us with questions, suggestions, and ideas for future partnerships. Here's to a productive 2010!

New Video - Adults at Play! Wonder what it would be like to see your colleagues learning to juggle? Creating 60 second commercials with balloons? Trying their hands at kendamas, flower sticks, and jitter rings? Flow Circus loves bringing opportunities to play, laugh, and relieve stress to teachers, librarians, YMCA staff, and other groups. Our workshops remind participants of important lessons of teamwork, communication, and leadership in a very memorable way!

YMCA Campfire Conference & NCCAP: In order to bring juggling and skill toys to more tweens & teens, we will be returning to the YMCA Campfire Conference and the North Carolina Center for Afterschool Programs Synergy Conference this winter. Campfire is being held this week in Black Mountain, NC and will draw summer camp directors from all over the Southeast. We will have the opportunity to conduct several workshops to introduce how juggling and skill toys can have a positive effect on camp culture. This year, Paul will also be the headline act during the evening entertainment. We love interacting with our YMCA colleagues - they are always ready to have fun!

NCCAP's Synergy Conference will be held March 1-2 in Greensboro, NC. Last year we received an enthusiastic response from afterschool directors from across the state and we look forward to returning again this year. For more information on the Synergy Conference visit the NCCAP website.
